Welcome to Synergetic Thinking.
Technology is just a tool, not a solution by itself. We believe in developing solutions backed by thorough business understanding, robust data and rigorous analytical thinking. The real magic in any solution lies in the synergy between Data, Analytics and Technology; we call this Synergetic Thinking.
Our business is built on the principle of balance and proportion – essentially, balancing all aspects without going to extremes – and always keeping in mind the big picture.
We call this balance the Perfect Ratio.
At Customer Analytics, we seek to balance business objectives, technology, cost and time to transform business ideas to solutions that work. We do not pursue technology for technology’s sake – rather, we use the appropriate technology as a tool to accomplish the business objective.
Even in our daily operations we aim to balance work pressure with family needs, while ensuring client commitments are not compromised. Our culture of flexibility makes this possible.
The ratio character “:” symbolizing proportionality has been introduced in the logo, not simply as an element of design, but to highlight the importance of balance within Customer Analytics.
We believe this balance is especially crucial at a time when technology is evolving so quickly; and this has helped us sail through the inevitable highs and lows in the industry and register a positive growth rate every year since our inception nearly two decades ago.

KEY PEOPLE
Mike co-founded his first company while working as Director of the Applied Population Laboratory at the University of Wisconsin-Madison over 20 years ago. That company, ThirdWave Research Group, eventually became what is now Customer Analytics. Today, after decades of practical experience solving business issues as a Trusted Third Party directly for the C-Suite, Mike’s focus has shifted to mentoring and guiding his 500+ friends and colleagues at Customer Analytics. Mike’s common sense and knowledge of statistical techniques, along with a pirate’s knowledge of obscure data sources, are treasures to be passed on to the next generation of data scientists and business leaders. Thankfully, Mike is uniquely able to find ways to pass along this knowledge, and takes pleasure in doing so.
Swami, as the co-founder and CEO of Customer Analytics, enjoys working at the intersection of business and technology. His experience with businesses across several verticals enables him to understand and anticipate business needs and provide technology solutions to improve efficiency and profitability. Swami lives by the mantra of “do the right thing”— for customers, his co-workers, his family and for society. In recent years, he has taken on the role of mentor for his colleagues to ensure greater work-home balance in their lives, keeping with the company motto of putting people before profit. Passionate in growing the CSR arm of CA, he has started several initiatives, raising funds and helping hands within the company for social causes. Swami has graduate degrees from the University of Massachusetts, Amherst, and the University of Wisconsin, Madison.
Rajesh Balchandran has been leading the day to day operations of Customer Analytics presiding over its growth from 50 employees to its present size. A computer scientist by profession, he holds a doctorate from Rutgers University in the field of signal processing and pattern recognition. His skills as a technologist and researcher were honed at IBM’s TJ Watson Research Center in New York, where he worked as a research staff member for 10 years in the then emerging fields of natural language understanding and machine learning. A perfectionist with an eye for detail and elegance, Rajesh is passionate about using technology and data to efficiently and effectively solve customer problems. He believes in leading by example and is extremely pragmatic, focussing on essentials to get the job done. Above all, he is keen on giving back to the community by generating employment opportunities to those who normally might not have a chance. Outside of work, Rajesh is an amateur artist, photographer and skilled woodworker.
